Membership Renewal

Thank you to those that have already renewed their membership. Your new membership card and tasting glass is at Rock House for pick-up. Please complete a waiver and show Rock House some support when picking these up.

Brewer Dude Mash Madness

The finals are underway! Dirk Franzen and Ben Hoh are brewing their Oatmeal Stout (16B)
The commercial example they will be trying to match is the Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout.

Our goal is to have these entries (and examples of the commercial example) for the club to judge at the May meeting.

Thanks to everyone who participated and a continued thank you to Brewer Dude for sponsoring the head to head action.

Barrel Project

The styles we are brewing are:
Russian Imperial Stout (Bourbon Barrel) – recipe
Wee Heavy (Bourbon Barrel) – 9%+ ABV to avoid infection – recipe
Saison (Rum Barrel) – 9%+ ABV to avoid infection – recipe

We are still working through who will brew how much of what. If you would like to participate, complete this survey.
Target fill date is 4/25

The Flanders Red barrel will be ready to dump later this spring.

Barrel projects are open to paid members only. It’s not too late to renew your membership.

National Homebrew Competition 

BOCK will support shipping costs again this year. If you entered, please let us know so we can coordinate shipping.

Check out https://www.bockbrew.com/ for monthly meeting information and upcoming events. Members should register to take advantage of the topics/discussions (like Barrel Program recipes), putting other members’ faces to names, past Froth issues and more.

How to Register:

• Go to www.bockbrew.com.
• Create an account here. When not logged in you will find this link under “Members”.
• Fill out your account with a photo and membership info (go to the members page, find your profile and click edit).
• Once registered your account will be flagged for approval by an officer. Once it is approved you will receive an email letting you know.
• Now you have access to member-only areas of the site such as “Topics”, where club events like barrel fills and bulk malts are discussed, and “Froth” where current and previous issues of Froth can be read over and over.
