2 lb carared
1 oz Nugget (12.2%) @ 60’
2 oz Amarillo (8.9%] @ 10’
2 oz Cascade (7.3%) @ 5’
3 oz Citra dry hop (after barrel aging)
2 packets Fermentis US-05 or sufficient amount of any neutral west coast yeast
Oxygenate wort well
OG – 1.088, FG – 1.013

I would like to rap up the recipe so we can be ready to brew soon. I don’t have much experience with red ales so any teaks is welcome.
Cut the Nugget to 1oz ?
I agree with Gary. I also brewed this last time. I would recommend removing or reducing the sugar as well. Maybe a sweeter finish will help with the bitterness. If I remember correctly, it didn’t really turn out red, so we might want to adjust the specialty malt a bit.
I brewed this one last time (and still have a few left) and remember that this was way too bitter. If we go with this, I think we should definitely reduce the bittering hops.
